You also need a pitcher, a couple of long handed spoons does not matter whether they are plastic, wood or stainless steel.

It is nice to have a spatula, especially one with a longer handle. You also need two common kitchen thermometers. Put them in boiling water let them sit for a while to check if they measure the same. If they do not measure the same just mark the one is off so you can calculate the degrees, rather than throwing it out.

Grab a couple of paper plates to pick up spills, a container large enough for your lye and water combination. This has to withstand high temperatures, so get high temperature plastic or glass container. get a pot big enough to accomodate the whole recipe, it can be stainless or it can have a ceramic finish. It is really important that you do not use aluminum, iron or tin because each of those will be corroded by the chemicals and some of that will get deposited in your soap.

Get some bowls for putting your prepared additives in, a grater for the bees wax. Next you want some safetly products googles, gloves, newspaper for the table top and vinegar. You will also need some towels or old blankets to wrap in during the curing process. PVC piping for your moulds, saran wrap or plastic wraps on the bottom to secure the soap. Rub petroleum jelly on the inside of the PVC piping.

A funnel to make it easier to get the soap in, and a stainless ladle for pouring the soap mixture through the funnel. It is always handy to have some paper towels close by. Now you are ready to begin making your lye soap.
